Autumn Wishes – Day 3

Here are some more Autumn themed cards for all of you to enjoy.  This card shows a way to show a lot of detail with not that many supplies! All I used on this card was cardstock, two stamps, a circle punch, scalloped edge punch, and linen thread. Easy peasy. 🙂

I love the little touches of the circles, edge distressing, and the linen thread.  This card so reminds me of leaves changing from green to beautiful oranges, yellows, and reds.

The punched out circles were not popped up, but just glued flat as a way to draw attention to the trees, but not take away attention from the card as a whole.  Here are some detail shots of this punch autumn trees detail

You can see in these shots that the trunks of the little trees have been hand cut and then glued down.  This is for two reasons – #1: I cannot line these little trunks up with the leaves for the life of me!! #2: It adds another little subtle detail and allows the card to not feel as flat.

I wanted to take a moment to show the treatment that I do for the inside of a lot of my cards.

I usually line the inside of the card with white or vanilla paper and stamp a little accent that reflects the outside of the card.  It is just another way that shows the receiver of your card that they have a little handmade creation in their hands!

This card is not available in my Etsy store, but if you are ever in Melbourne, Florida, a fabulous boutique called The Laughing Mermaid has these in stock there.  Such an amazing store chock full of handmade goodies, including to die for handmade soaps and lotions that the owner of the boutique, Kathy, makes herself.

See you back tomorrow for some more Autumn cards!

Do you know what Labor Day means???

It means FALL is coming!!!

If you can’t tell, Fall is my favorite time of year.  In honor of this is amazing season, here’s my simple fall elegance card.

 Fall Elegance

It features a neat technique called emboss resist.  The leaves were stamped in clear ink and embossed with clear embossing powder on white paper.  Then, red and orange ink was sponged over the images to create the warm fall colors seen here.

You can see this card in my Etsy store here!

Happy Fall y’all!
