Autumn Wishes – Day 4

Happy Fall y’all! (Sidenote – anyone know where I can get a small sentiment stamp that says that?  Something about the size of Stampin’ Up!’s Teeny Tiny Wishes set.)

I am back with Day 4 of my autumn themed cards.  This next card was actually the card that I used for our Thanksgiving cards last year.  Yes, I sent Thanksgiving cards last year.  No, I don’t believe that is happening this year lol.  Last year Thanksgiving cards were made before I started my full-time teaching job.  This year, well my class has been keeping me extra busy so the extra free time needed for making 40 something Thanksgiving cards for myself just has not happened.  Making them for customers? Absolutely!  Isn’t that always how it is??

This card uses a leaf stamp from Lizzie Anne’s set, Au Naturale.  It was stamped in Staz On Timber Brown and the colored in with Stampin’ Up’ Water Color Wonder Crayons.  I love these crayons.  I am definitely not a train artist in any shape or form, but these crayons let you blend and shade like a pro.  Scribble a little on, add a little way – boom, perfect fall leaf! To have the leaf “pop” off the page a little bit more, I outlined in with a offwhite Copic Marker.

The layout used on this card is one of my simple go-to ones.  If I am ever in a stamping rut this layout always helps me make something that I like.  Also, it’s a great layout for using up ribbon scraps!

Here are some detail shots.

I used snap stamps to make the sentiment panel.

Tomorrow will be my last day in my Autumn card series.  I hope you have enjoyed this little touch of fall.  I know it has been making me want apple cider and pumpkin pie!
